About Us

Sue-GarciaHealth, fitness and wellness are my passion. After spending 8 years as a first grade teacher I left the classroom in 1999 and begin my journey. I have achieved 12 national fitness certifications to date, including Personal Training, AFFA, Pilates Mat Work and Pilates Small Apparatus, SCW, Personal Training Certification AFFA and am currently working on my certificate in Pulse Pointe Barre.

Initially, I spent 2 years as a personal trainer and teaching fitness at a number of private and corporate wellness and fitness centers in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

In 2002 I started my fitness company, Sue Garcia Fitness Inc.. Some of my first clients included, Motorola Wellness Center in Schaumburg, Community Education 211 in Palatine and Des Plaines Park District in Des Plaines.  During my experience I found a need for quality onsite fitness classes in businesses, nursing homes, park districts, community programs, dance studios, wellness centers and more.  So I expanded my reach.

The mechanics of running a business are both exciting and rewarding.  For me personally, sharing the benefits of fitness with various organizations and businesses has been amazing.  It’s really all about my clients and what the Sue Garcia team can do to enhance people’s lives.  Whether it’s instruction in proper technique and form, or stressing the importance of a routine exercise regimen, or motivating and supporting groups and individuals as they grow in their personal fitness training, we are here to share our passion for health and wellness.

Sue Garcia Fitness Inc. currently employs 12 experienced, nationally certified instructors who teach classes such as Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Aqua, Pilates, Yoga, Yogalaties, Piloxing, Leslie Sansome’s Walking, Barre Body Sculpting classes, Belly Dancing, Strength Training, Senior Fitness as well as others related wellness classes


My teaching staff has achieved over 70 combined national health, fitness and wellness certifications, and has over 150 years combined experience in the health and fitness arena.  They all share my passion for bringing and building wellness for all age levels and abilities.

Currently I manage approximately 40 classes a week. In addition to running my company I teach Pilates, Barre Body Sculpting and Yogalaties. Since 2012 I began training high school athletes, including football and track, in a group setting using the Pilates Method.
