I thought I was in pretty good shape when I showed up for my first Sue Garcia Pilates class. Two years of occasional Yoga and infrequent attendance at the health club, I thought, was keeping me in shape. Was I wrong! I had no core strength nor stamina to keep up with these ladies. But the great news is Sue and her instructors give you modifications so you can progress from Level 1 to Level 3 with confidence.
They are reassuring and friendly instructors. The "make up" policy is great for ladies who don't always have the luxury of an unchanging schedule! With many other classes available in the area, I know I have no excuse to fall off the exercise wagon! You'll LOVE it -- I do. After 2 years I'm in the best condition I've been in decades!

Over several years I have enjoyed taking Pilates, Zumba and Lite Aerobic Latin Cardio Dance through Sue Garcia Fitness and have enjoyed them all. The classes are convenient and the excellent instructors provide a good workout while making it fun too. There is also a great option in that it is possible to make up a missed class with any other of Sue Garcia Fitness classes.

Sue Garcia’s Pilates class is fantastic. The instructors are all top quality -- helpful, well trained and knowledgeable. When I had a problem with my back, they showed me how to adapt the exercises. They constantly watch over us, giving tips, explanations and encouragement. The classes are a great value compared to the costs of similar programs elsewhere, and students are always commenting about the incredibly generous make-up policy. You will be astonished at how good you feel and how energized you become once you start taking this class.
I just returned from Sue Garcia’s Pilates class. Our teacher (fondly thought of as Sadistic Sue) appears to take great pleasure in abusing and inflicting pain upon us poor pathetic students.
As she listens to us huff & puff, grunt & groan and grumble & mumble, she will make inane statements such as “Most of my students LOVE this part. Don’t you.?” To which we respond, “Huff, puff, grunt, groan, mumble, grumble, grumble, grumble.”
Then to add to our pathetic-ness, she is perky and …… (brace yourself) she is…. chipper. That’s right – as she twists, contorts, balances and generally looks like a refugee from Cirque du soleil, she smiles, chats and (ohhhhhh, the horror of it all) acts FRIENDLY!!!!!!! As I sit here all sweaty in excruciating pain with every muscle aching, hardly able to move, I wonder why I ever signed up to do this.
Just joking Sue, you know I love you AND your classes – in spite of your “sadistic tendencies”:)

Warmly,
Rita
