Kajanda Love Bio

I started teaching aerobics in 1986 because I loved to exercise, it was my passion. I taught for about three years. Nineteen years later I have returned to my passion of teaching group fitness classes. In 2005 I began teaching Cardio Toning, Senior Spinning Classes and Senior Strength and Resistances Classes. I was invited to a Zumba Class in 2007 and fell in love with the music. That is when I decided to become a Zumba Instructor. I received my first certification in 2007 and was again recertified in 2009. I believe that Zumba is a fun, energizing workout that does not feel like exercise.

When the movie Slumdog Millionaire was released, it brought the Bollywood movie industry to the forefront, which highlighted the music and dance movements of India. This created a new fitness craze called, “Bollywood Fitness”! I was certified in Masala Bhangra in 2009. Masala means spicy and Bhangra is a folkdance practiced in Punjab, which is located in the Northern region of India. I enjoy teaching this unique, high energy class, which provides a total body workout and burns tons of calories!

You may be wondering what I have been doing with myself between 1986 and 2005. I have had an array of careers, including working as a Flight Attendant. My current career is that of a Police Officer. I am also a mother of three.
