While taking Zumba classes as a participant, the classes sparked a passion in her to share this form of exercising with others who loved dancing and were seeking a form of exercise that was effective, fun, and energizing! She loves sharing the joy of her students as they dance adding their own style and attitude and burning all of those calories!

     Carolyn and her husband, Vern, live in Palatine, the community where they grew up and met. They have two children, 2 dogs, a cat, and pond fish. Carolyn has been a full-time mom, volunteered at her children’s school, and has also served as a leader for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.

     She currently works as a Nutrition Services Coordinator at an elementary school and as a Program Assistant for the Special Needs children during the District’s Extended School Year Program. She earned her BA in Elementary Education from Aurora University
